"It must be my Crohn's." How often have I heard this. But is it? Attribution to a singular cause can be a logical fallacy.
Correlation does not imply causation
People with Crohn's have diarrhea; therefore diarrhea is caused by Crohn's.
What is the lurking variable?
Could it be food poisoning?
Could it be a food allergy?
Could it be a virus?
Could it be a salicylate sensitivity?
