It seems to me that with 70 or so genes now implicted in CD, it is unlikely that CD is one disease.
If this is so, how much can we rely on research studies to guide us in the treatment of CD?
What are the commonalities of CD subtypes and what are the differences?
Do subtype differences account for the various responses to therapies? For example, do anti-TNF nonresponders have a CD subtype which is different from responders?
